**About Laurie**
*Walking Beside the Havasuwa Baaja with Heart, Purpose, and Respect*
---
I’m **Laurie Frans**, a Licensed Professional Counselor, educator, and IDEA Director who has dedicated over 30 years to helping children, families, and educators grow stronger, feel heard, and thrive. My journey has taken me through schools, counseling centers, private practice, and tribal partnerships, but no place has touched my heart more deeply than Supai, home of the Havasuwa Baaja — the People of the Blue-Green Water.
My role in Supai is rooted in healing-centered, culturally grounded care. Whether I’m supporting a student with an IEP, offering counseling to a family, or walking beside a teacher in the classroom, I listen deeply and walk gently. I believe that every child carries wisdom, and every family holds strength.
