Working together with the Indian Health Service (IHS) ensures that children and families receive whole-person care — supporting their mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
When counseling or school-based support is needed, IHS is often part of the circle of care. Together, we share insights, coordinate services, and ensure that no child falls through the cracks.
Collaboration with IHS may include:
- Referrals for behavioral health, wellness checks, or medical needs
- Follow-up care planning for students seen at the IHS clinic
- Joint service planning between IHS providers, school staff, and tribal programs
- Culturally grounded mental health support - Support for substance recovery and family reunification efforts
When we all work together, healing becomes stronger and more lasting.
